GE 112	Reading in Philippine History	3.0	3L	The course analyzes Philippine History from multiple perspectives through the lens of selected primary and secondary sources coming from various discipline and different genres. Students are given opportunities to analyze the author’s background and main arguments, compare different points of view, identify biases, and examine pieces of evidence presented in the document. The approach, though historical, will deal with interdisciplinary subjects so as to broaden and deepen the students’ understanding of Philippine political, economic, social and cultural history and equip the learner with the competencies necessary to analyze and evaluate different types of information. The goal is to develop the historical and critical consciousness of the students so that they will become versatile, broad-minded, morally upright and responsible citizens. This course has mandatory topics on the Philippine Constitution, agrarian reform and taxation.
GE 113	CONTEMPORY WORLD	3.0	3L	The Contemporary World is an introductory course that aims to help students understand the major global processes and issues affecting the modern world. It equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to engage meaningfully in an interconnected and globalized society.
GE 115	Purposive Communication	3.0	3L	This course is about writing, speaking, and presenting to different audiences and for various purposes. It is a three-unit course that develops students’ communicative competence and enhances their cultural and intercultural awareness through multimodal task that provide them opportunities for communicating effectively and appropriately to a multicultural audience in a local or global context. It equips students with tools for critical evaluation of a variety of texts and focuses on the power of language and the impact of images to emphasize the importance of conveying messages responsibly. The knowledge, skills, and insights that students gain from this course may be used in their other academic endeavors, their chosen disciplines, and their future careers as they compose and produce relevant oral, written, audio-visual and/or web-based output for various purposes. modern world. GE 116	Art Appreciation	3.0	3L	Art Appreciation is a three-unit course that develops students’ ability to appreciate, analyze, and critique works of art. Through interdisciplinary and multimodal approaches, this course equips students with a broad knowledge of the practical, historical, philosophical, and social relevance of the arts in order to hone students’ ability to articulate their understanding of the arts. The course also develops students’ competency in researching and curating art as well as conceptualizing, mounting, and evaluating art productions. The course aims to develop students’ genuine appreciation for Philippine arts by providing them opportunities to explore the diversity and richness and their rootedness in Filipino culture.
GE 118	Ethics	3.0	3L	Ethics deals with principles of ethical behavior in modern society at the level of the person, society, and in interaction with the environment and other resources. The course also teaches students to make moral decisions by using ethical frameworks and by applying a seven-step moral reasoning model to analyze and solve moral dilemmas.

It emphasizes on the use of assessment of, as, and for, in measuring knowledge, comprehension and other thinking skills in the cognitive, psychomotor of affective domains. It allows students to go through the standard steps in test construction and development and the application in grading systems.
ASSESS 312B	ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING 2 WITH FOCUS ON TRAINERS METHODOLOGY I AND I	3.0	3L	This is a course that focuses on the principles, development and utilization of alternative forms of assessment in measuring authentic learning. It emphasizes on how to assess process- and product-oriented learning outcomes as well as affective learning. Students will experience how to develop rubrics and other assessment tools for performance- based assessment.
EDUC 212	The Teaching Profession	3.0	3L	This course orients pre-service teachers with the nature, moral purpose, and mission of the teaching profession. It basically explores the philosophical, ethical, and accountabilities of teachers in the practice of their profession within the context of national and global standards. It also explores the teaching competencies of the 21st century teachers, the stages in becoming a professional teacher, the legal bases and recent educational reforms in Philippine education as well as teachers' role in the society as a transformative agent of change.
EDUC 314B	BUILDING AND ENHANCING NEW LITERACIES ACROSS THE CURRICULUM WITH EMPHASIS ON 21ST CENTURY SKILLS	3.0	3L	This course introduces the concepts of new literacies in the 21st century as an evolving social phenomena and shared cultural practices across learning areas. The 21st century literacies shall include (a) globalization and multi-cultural literacy, (b) social literacy, (c) media literacy, (d) financial literacy, (e) cyber literacy/digital literacy, (f) eco-literacy and (g) arts and creativity literacy. Field based- interdisciplinary explorations and other teaching strategies shall be used in this course.
PATHFIT3	MENU OF DANCE, SPORTS, MARTIAL ARTS, GROUP EXERCISE, OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES & ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES	2.0		This is a program utilizing an array of Philippine Traditional and Recreational Games which promote outdoor play and aims to provide a better alternative to online computer, multimedia games and the like. It involves the development of physical skills such as strength, flexibility, endurance, speed, agility, and power, coupled with mental workout through strategy formulation, capped with emotional expansion and social awareness. Through skills, training, exercise drills, game play, and independent or self-directed PA’s, fitness levels will be enhanced. In conjunctions with this, fitness level, PA participation and dietary/ eating patterns are evaluated to monitor one’s progress and achievement of personal fitness and dietary goals. This course also ought to focus on the various stages of games skill development to the variety of activities for recreational or competitive purposes towards fit and healthy lifestyle
TEC 2	family and consumer	3.0	3L	This course is specially intended for students to broaden their knowledge and help develop their skills and general competencies in various areas of the Technology and Livelihood Education. The course prepares students to begin their journey toward becoming independent, productive citizens. Particularly, this focused on essential requirements on Family and Relationships, Life and Careers, Human Development, Financial Literacy and Budgeting, and Health & Nutrition.
TEC 3	intro. industrial art 1	3.0	3L	This course will develop the capability of the students to demonstrate basic competencies in Industrial Arts required of the Philippine TVET Trainers-Assessors Qualifications Framework (PTTQF). Thus, they can be capable in the design andconstruction of practical projects related to basic electricity & electronics, toy industry, drafting, graphic arts, leather and woodworking. This course will also develop the students’ skills in communicating ideas, processes and technical information clearly and accurately and ability to critically evaluate manufactured products needed as a discriminating consumer.
TTL 1	Technology for Teaching and Learning I	3.0	3L	This is an introductory course that explores basic knowledge and skills and values in the use of technology for teaching and learning. EDUC 213B	THE TEACHER AND THE COMMUNITY, SCHOOL CULTURE AND ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP WITH FOCUS ON THE PHILIPINE TVET SYSTEM	3.0	3L	This course focuses on society as a context upon which the schools have been established. Educational philosophies that are relayed to the society as afoundation of schools and schooling shall be emphasized. Further, principles and theories on school culture, and organizational leadership shall be included to prepare prospective teachers to become school leaders and managers.
EDUC 311	Foundation of Special and Inclusive Education	3.0	2L/3Lab	This course shall deal with philosophies, theories and legal bases of special needs and inclusive education, typical and atypical development of children, learning characteristics of students with special educational needs (gifted and talented, learners with difficulty hearing, learners with difficulty communicating, learners with difficulty walking/moving, learners with difficulty remembering and focusing, learner with difficulty with self-care) and strategies in teaching and managing these learners in regular class.
CURDEV	Curriculum Development and Evaluation with emphasison Trainers Methodology II	3.0	3L	This course covers the outcomes required to facilitate the development of competency standards for particular work functions, work processes, workroles and work-related vocational outcomes. It also deals with the knowledgeand skills required to undertake a training needs analysis to identify the trainingneeds of individuals or organization. This course will also cover thecompetency in developing and evaluating the training curriculum design which includes establishing training requirements, identifying the learner and finalizingthe training program.
TTL 2	Technology for Teaching and Learning 2	3.0	3L	TTL II is a 3 unit course which will focus on the application, design, production, utilization and evaluation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) materials for teaching and learning in Mathematics Education Programs. The major requirement for this course is an ICT-integrated and Project-based Learning Plan aligned to the K to 12 curriculum. All the learning activities and course requirements will revolve around the student-teacher developed Learning Plan.
TEC 5	ICT SPECIALIZATION 1	3.0	4L	This is a 3-unit introductory course that explores the basic knowledge and skills and values in the use of technology for teaching and learning. This course includes ICT policies and safety issues, media and technology in various content areas, learning theories, and principles in the use and design of learning lessons,teaching-learning experiences and assessment tasks that utilize appropriate traditional and innovative technologies with social, ethical, and legal responsibility.
TEC 6	ICT SPECIALIZATION 2	3.0	2L/3Lab	This course introduces BTLED students to the basic concepts, theories and principle on the different specializations they may take in their course. Specifically, this course will give an overview on technical drafting, illustrations and 2D animation. It also establishes the basics of media transcription, digital media production and web applications.
TEC 7	Entreprenuerial	3.0	3L	Upon completion of this course, students will develop an “Entrepreneurial mindset”, the underlying beliefs and assumptions that drive the behaviors that that allow entrepreneur to succeed. Specifically this course will help the students in building their passion of creating their own business. In today’s global entrepreneurial economy, all members of the society whether self-employed or employed by others will benefit from understanding and embracing an entrepreneurial mindset.

DMP3	PRINT PRODUCTION	3.0	2L/3Lab	This course is intended for students who wish to explore the print media vocation. Curriculum content focuses on an introduction to the entire discipline of print media. The emphasis will be on project-based activities. The course includes an introduction to essential skills related to safety and employability. Students will also be introduced to career development, sustainability, and new and emerging technologies in print media. Cross-curricular learning outcomes, which include essential print media math, the science of print media, and the interpretation of trade documents, are to be integrated into the authentic activities of the course. The learning outcomes are organized by Technology Fundamentals (F), Technology Skills (S), and Professional Practice (P) strands. For instructional purposes, the sequence of outcomes and the outcomes included in each unit of study can vary based on the projects within the course.
DMP2	AUDIO PRODUCTION	3.0	2L/3Lab	This is an introduction to the world of audio production. It is meant for undergraduate students with an interest in audio and its applications in modern media and art. Students will learn to employ audio as a creative tool for documentary storytelling, fiction filmmaking, news media, radio production, comedy sketches, commercials and internet productions. Creativity and careful execution are major factors in the grading of ALL projects.
DMP1	VIDEO PRODUCTION	3.0	2L/3Lab	This course provides an introduction to digital media production, focusing on video production. Students will learn how to create compelling video content using a variety of techniques and tools, including camera operation, lighting, audio recording, editing,and special effects. The course will cover the entire process of video production, from conceptualization and planning to post-production and distribution.
EDUC 320	RESEARCH 1	3.0	3L	This course deals with the basic concepts of research indispensable for crafting of a research proposal as a requirement of the subject. Students willbe brought into the thought on the significance of research undertaking in our day-to-day life especially in this time of health crisis where the pandemic COVID 19 has put havoc in the lives of humankind. Much more, they are expected to write the thesis proposal’s salient parts comprehensively and adherent to the conventions of this institution.

Students will learn to use software and onlinetools for creating and publishing websites. Topics covered will include web design principles, HTML and CSS coding, graphicdesign, and website accessibility. Students will also learn to use content management systems (CMS) to create and manage websites.

CCS 2	Foreign Language	3.0	3L	Foreign Language (NIHONGO) is a basic course designed for beginning learners of the Japanese Language. The course focuses on both oral and written communicative skills particularly through listening and speaking Nihongo. It also provides opportunity to develop skills in reading and writing Japanese characters, Hiragana, Katakana, and simple everyday Kanji characters. Special attention will be placed on the basic grammatical patterns and simple conversations. Interactive activities will be employed to ensure meaningful and relevant learning.

CCS 6	Post-support Documentation	3.0	2L/3Lab	Students gain an understanding and knowledge of genres such as reports, feasibility studies, proposals, and specifications. Students will construct a logical outline of a technical document; write with awareness of expository techniques such as definition, classification, and causal analysis; and design an effective format and layout for a technical publication. A writing project chosen by the participant will be critiqued.
EDUC 321	Research 2	3.0	3L	Undergraduate research experience involves students in an original research project. Using one or a variety of methods, students will collect original data and contribute to problem solving in the Earth Sciences. As a first research experience, emphasis will be placed on the process of scientific research, including formulation of a research plan, data collection, assessment of data quality, and interpretation based on available data. Students are required to present their results to an audience outside of the department.
