ECE 111	Foundation of Early Childhood Education (Lecture)	3.0	3L	This course highlights the importance of early childhood education through fundamental concepts, historical, philosophical, theoretical roots and legal frameworks. It offers opportunities for pre-service students to demonstrate awareness of the code of ethics as it guides the roles and responsibilities of early childhood professionals. It provides opportunities for re-service students to explore contemporary programs and key organizations in the Philippines and in other countries, through exposure to ECE programs and practices to find out about the opportunities of the profession.

ECE 319	Infant and Toddler Programs (Lecture)	3.0	3L	This course emphasizes the content knowledge on the developmental needs capabilities and interests of infants and toddlers to implement relevant, responsive and appropriate infant and toddler programs. It focuses on the quality routines, appropriate environments, materials and activities, teaching/guidance techniques. It also highlights the understanding of milestones including the standards and benchmarks of each age group.

ECE 213	Content and Pedagogy of Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education	3.0	3L	This course discusses on the philosophical and legal basis of Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) program. It highlights the elements of Mother Tongue, appreciation of local literature, and use and developmentally appropriate language teaching strategies for the Mother Tongue to facilitate teaching and learning.
ASSESS 311	Assessment in Learning 1	3.0	3L	This course focuses on principles, development and utilization of conventional assessment tools to improve teaching-learning processes. It explores the standard steps in test development, its application in assessing learning, training in scoring, organizing, analyzing, interpreting and communicating assessment results and how it is used in improving teaching and learning.
