GENERAL SANTOS CITY โ The Social Work Department of the South East Asian Institute of Technology (SEAIT) secured its third consecutive victory during the PASWIโGeneral Santos City Chapter Social Work Day Celebration 2026, held at the Barangay Bula Gymnasium.
Anchored on the theme โCo-Building Hope & Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society,โ the event gathered social work institutions and practitioners in a showcase of talent, advocacy, and collaboration across the region.
SEAIT emerged as the overall champion after dominating several major competitions. The institution clinched championship titles in Bench Yell and Cheering, On-the-Spot Charcoal Painting, Banner Raising, and Mega Crew Hip-Hop. It also placed first runner-up in the Team Quiz Bee and Dramatic Singing Duet categories.
Close-up on stage, SEAIT candidates for Ms. JSWAP 2026, Mr. JSWAP 2026, and Queen of JSWAP 2026 all secured first runner-up finishes, with the Ms. JSWAP earning the Best in Advocacy award.
The three-peat victory highlights the consistent performance and collective effort of SEAITโs Social Work Department in the leadership of Program Head Dr. Sindypearl P. Melencio and the support of College of Business and Good Governance Dean Jestone P. Palate, as well as the institutionโs administration for fostering academic excellence and student development.
